Where to drive an electric go kart: private property and track days

Replicas lined up at a meet

You've got a mini sports car legend in the garage. Now the big question: where do you unleash it? Not the school run, not the grocery store, and definitely not the street outside. Our karts are built for private property, and there's a surprising amount of fun to be had there, from long driveways to private track days.

None of our models (Standard, Performance or 4-Cylinder) are road legal. That means no public roads, no sidewalks, no shared paths and no parking lots open to the public, not even for one quick lap. Local laws and community rules, including HOA rules, can also limit where and when you drive on private land, so check what applies to you before your first session.

Long driveways

The classic home turf. Even a modest driveway makes the Standard feel properly quick. Walk it first and agree on a stopping point well before the road.

Estate and farm roads

Long, smooth private roads are where the Performance model stretches its legs. Watch for farm traffic, animals, gates and loose surfaces.

Private paved lots

With the owner's permission, a private lot after hours becomes your personal test track: figure-eights, braking drills, the works. Mark a course with soft cones and stay well clear of kerbs, posts and parked cars.

Private tracks and karting circuits

This is where the magic happens. Some tracks and circuits host open sessions or private hire. Call ahead and ask:

Smooth, flat tarmac or concrete lets you enjoy the performance safely. Be careful on:

The electric models are whisper-quiet, which neighbours love. The 4-Cylinder has a real engine note, which drivers love. Plan accordingly.

Teaching a younger driver? Add the speed limiter and remote parental control. Our kids-mode guide shows you how.

Can I drive on my street if it's quiet?

No. Public roads are off-limits, however quiet.

Can I take it to a karting track?

Many tracks host open sessions or private hire. Call ahead about vehicle type, age limits and noise rules.

Tell us about your space and we'll recommend the perfect model for it.
